2024 Volkswagen Atlas

Volkswagen is giving the Atlas a complete exterior makeover for 2024, opting for smoother, curvier lines than previous models. The SUV now sports a fresh new look with a revised front fascia, a new LED light bar, and adaptive headlights. Regardless of trim level, the entire lineup comes with completely new wheel designs, such as impressive 21-inch wheels for the R-Line models.

Most importantly, Volkswagen has introduced a turbocharged four-cylinder engine capable of 269 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque. This new turbo engine is much more powerful than its predecessor and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The interior of the Volkswagen Atlas has also got a facelift. It now comes complete with a standard heated steering wheel, heated and ventilated front seats, shift paddles, and a height-adjustable passenger seat. You can also find leather upholstery in the lower trim levels than before. A 12-inch floating infotainment screen and a configurable digital gauge cluster come standard. The IQ.Drive safety package has been upgraded to offer standard hands-on semi-autonomous driving features that work with lane-centering assistance and adaptive cruise control systems on the highway.

2024 Volkswagen Tiguan

It’s been seven years since Volkswagen released the previous model, so the 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan is getting a major overhaul, solidifying its position as a top choice for individuals and families alike. The new model sports a smoother, curvier look than its predecessor, and it’s ever so slightly longer (1.25 inches) and taller (0.19 inch). It boasts an 184-horsepower two-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with gasoline, diesel, and plug-in hybrid drivetrains. Like last year, the 2024 Tiguan will come in front- and all-wheel-drive configurations.

The 2024 model promises to be much more practical, with a nearly 23 cubic feet cargo area. Drivers and passengers can expect more headroom and the unexpected perk of massaging and ventilated seats with the higher trim levels. A standard 12.9-inch infotainment system comes standard, but a larger 15-inch setup is available. The touch screen is a large freestanding tablet that’s no longer integrated into the center console.

Other new features include a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a new windscreen head-up display, and a new OLED display for the 4MOTION Active Control that manages driving mode, volume, and ambient lighting. All trims come with a full-width LED strip light bar, but you can upgrade to HD matrix headlights with a high beam that can illuminate the road ahead up to 1,640 feet.

• MPG: 25 or 26 mpg.
• Price: The Tiguan lineup started in 2023 at about $28,000, or about $30,000 with all-wheel drive. Prices are likely to rise for 2024.

2024 Volkswagen ID.4

The Volkswagen ID.4 is an extremely affordable electric vehicle that offers a spacious cabin ideal for everyday use. Volkswagen updated the Volkswagen ID.4 last year. The upgrades included more standard features, such as a 12-inch touch-screen display, an affordable base trim, and an automated parking system. They also upgraded some of the materials inside the car.

Given that Volkswagen upgraded the Volkswagen ID.4 fairly recently, we don’t expect any major updates for the 2024 model at this point. That being said, there are some issues that the current model has that hopefully the new model will address. These issues include the ergonomics and convenience of the interior and the layout of the controls.

• MPG: 104 mpg city, 89 mpg highway (2023).
• Pricing: $38,995 (2023).

2024 Volkswagen Taos

The Volkswagen Taos is the most compact SUV in Volkswagen’s 2024 lineup. The Taos measures 10 inches shorter than the next up, the Tiguan. The latest generation now boasts a new and revised look with a curvy, stylish exterior that comes in a variety of new colors.

The new design also features LED headlights and taillights with an attractive design, 18-inch alloy wheels, heated windshield washer nozzles and mirrors, tinted privacy glass, and sporty silver roof rails. Not to be missed is the powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that’s capable of generating 158 horsepower and maximum torque of 184 lb-ft.

It’s not just the exterior of the 2024 Volkswagen Taos that has received a facelift. The interior comes wrapped in CloudTex material and updated fabrics for improved comfort, a leather steering wheel, and ample space to seat up to five passengers. The driver’s seat now comes with a 10-way power adjustment setting and a front wiper with a rain sensor. Certain trims also come with a panoramic sunroof for added luxury. Although Volkswagen hasn’t released an official price for the 2024 Taos, we expect the price to be slightly higher than the 2023 model.
