Volkswagen ID. Buzz and ID.4 Sustainability
Volkswagen recently launched its ID range of sustainable electric vehicles, which offers you environmentally friendly options when shopping for your next vehicle. Volkswagen aims to be climate neutral by 2050, and the vehicles in the ID line are delivered to customers on a carbon-neutral basis, including the manufacturing, supply chain, and delivery. This new family of electric vehicles includes the electric van ID. Buzz (coming soon) and Volkswagen’s first fully electric SUV, the ID.4 (available for immediate reservation).

In addition to Volkswagen’s efforts to ensure sustainable vehicle production, these new vehicles are designed to be emission-free while on the road. You will have the option to charge your ID vehicle using sustainably produced electricity, meaning you will be able to go on fully carbon-neutral drives.
The vehicle plant that produces these sustainable Volkswagen models optimizes the use of renewable raw materials, and the ID. Buzz will be one of the most sustainable vehicle models in the world.
Clever At-Home Charging Options
Volkswagen’s approach to sustainability transfers over to your home even after you leave the dealership. Different at-home charging options for the ID. Buzz and ID.4 allow you to use regenerative energy sources to charge your electric vehicle and maximize your sustainability efforts. The ID.4 comes with a Level 1 at-home charging cable with an available Level 2 charger. The HomeStation offered by Electrify Home is a Level 2 charger that is Energy Star certified, offers Wi-Fi compatibility, and comes with an app that you can use at home and for charging your electric vehicle at charging points across the country.
Why Buy a Sustainable Vehicle?
Interest in buying more eco-friendly products is increasing across the world. Electric vehicles are becoming more and more popular by the day, but if you are still wondering why you should consider a sustainable vehicle for your next purchase, here are a few reasons why you should consider buying a Volkswagen electric vehicle from the ID range:
- Volkswagen’s electric vehicles help decrease the need for oil drilling.
- You will help protect our atmosphere by driving an electric, emissions-free vehicle.
- The cost of owning your vehicle will be significantly reduced, especially if you charge your vehicle using renewable energy sources.
Volkswagen ID.4
One of the sustainable vehicles from Volkswagen has already hit the streets of the United States. The ID.4 is an electric SUV that features a sharp aerodynamic exterior paired with a spacious interior and impressive performance that will change the way you think about electric cars. The 2022 Volkswagen ID.4 is available in three trim levels: Pro, Pro S, and Pro S with Gradient.
With an EPA-estimated range of 280 miles on the ID.4 Pro, you can travel back and forth to work, run errands, or even go out and enjoy a trip with your friends and family on a single charge. The all-wheel-drive models unlock even more potential and provide intelligent handling and increased traction.
If you feel like you would miss the power of a traditional gas-powered car, you can rest assured that the ID.4 electric SUV will impress you. The Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV is quieter than a combustion engine vehicle, offers instant torque, and provides some serious power when you hit the pedal. The ID.4 offers easy charging options, with the Level 2 at-home charger providing between 25 and 37 miles in one hour’s charge and a Level 3 public charger providing up to 70 miles in only 10 minutes. The performance of the ID.4 will exceed your expectations.
Volkswagen ID. Buzz
The ID. Buzz electric van will soon be available for pre-ordering. This is another sustainable vehicle option, and it will be released as a 2024 model. Volkswagen has designed this vehicle with sustainability in mind, and it offers a significant share of recycled materials and a completely animal-free interior. You will also find many technology features in the ID. Buzz.
It is clear that Volkswagen paid attention to detail while designing the eco-friendly ID. Buzz., and it has many sustainable features. The polyurethane steering wheel rim has the look and feel of leather. Materials from recycled products are in the floor coverings, seat covers, and roof liners. One of the interior fabrics is made from SEAQUAL, a type of yarn that consists of 10% ocean plastics and 90% recycled PET bottles. Using this yarn reduces carbon emissions by 32% compared with similar products. In addition, the vehicle paint contains organic materials, and the ArtVelours ECO upholstery has 71% recycled materials.
You will be able to get the ID. Buzz in one of the seven single-color options or four different two-tone color schemes. White and freshly colored materials and finishes inside and out offer a fun design that incorporates the camper van of old into a modern, sustainable electric vehicle.
